This project was completed in my Contemporary Issues in Fashion class. One of the most pressing issues in fashion today is the issue of sustainability. Fashion companies are starting to respond to the changing opinions of their consumers on sustainability. This project was based on gardening and growing your own food as well as only taking what you need. The gloves and bucket hat were made out of vintage silk scarves. This reinforces the idea that with upcycling, you can still make something beautiful.
